HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) ? Louis Booth was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma about 3 years ago.
His early attempts at treatment were unsuccessful, so when he heard about a new clinical trial at Clearview Cancer Institute in Huntsville, he jumped at the opportunity.
After only one treatment, the results were remarkable. The swelling in his lymph-nodes was down by 50 percent.
The drug Louis is taking is called Ublituximab, and doctors are combining it with a pill form of chemotherapy.
Louis is the first person to receive this combination of treatments. He says it?s the best Christmas present he?s ever gotten.
