Orlando Bloom has apparently signed on to once again portray Legolas, this time in the two-part prequel to the LOTR. That?s all fine well and good, but if you?re a real fan like myself, you?re probably a little thrown off by all of this. Just like when we heard that Elijah Wood was set to come back. What gives? If you?ve taken the time to read The Hobbit, then you know these two characters are nowhere to be found. But before I launch into some bizarre form of geeky rage, let?s look into it a little more. Peter Jackson has done SUCH an amazing job at translating the novels to film, so how could he make such a huge change? Well, the appearance of Frodo is justified by his role in handing off the memoir behind the book, called ?There And Back Again: A Hobbit?s Holiday,? to his pal Sam Gamgee. But, what about Legolas? Well, we know Bilbo and company pass through Rivendell (much like Frodo in LOTR), could that be where he is written in?
